Good fencing

There’s a lot to be admired about a home that has good fencing.

A new home built on a raw piece of land tends to be a little bit out of place until outbuildings and a perhaps a bit of fencing is added. These extras tend to anchor a home to the environment.

And, I’ve been surrounded by vinyl covered cubes!

Of course we know why this wonderful stone chimney is SO wide (she must be ten feet wide at the base, rather than the standard six feet)… I imagine that there is one impressive cooking fireplace on the inside of this cabin!

1) A timeless design
2) Vintage logs
3) A properly built stone chimney
4) Wood shake roof (anything but asphalt shingles)
5) Great location

What is your opinion of the paint finish seen in this photo?
A) I love it just like it is
B) I’d put a fresh coat of paint on everything
C) I’d remove all the paint and have a clean natural wood finish.
