What is a Handmade House?

To Properly Answer That Question... Let's Start By Watching This Video!

So, what exactly is a Handmade House?

It is a home in which the owner of that home plays a significant part in its design and construction.

For some folks that means "hands-on participation"... from driving the first nail... to that last stroke of the paintbrush. Oh yeah!... sawdust and woodchips flying everywhere!

After all... Why pay someone else to have all the fun?

But there are also a lot of folks out there who don't want to strap-on a toolbelt.

They too want a really special home... one that reflects who they are. And these individuals are just as eager to create their own Handmade House, but they simply don't know where to begin.

I can so relate.

I started out years ago wanting a special place to call home... without fully knowing what a Handmade House was.

One thing was for certain... I knew what I did not want... a house like everyone else had... a boring one... one with a huge mortgage... one that looked like it came off of an assembly line... all covered in vinyl .

I wanted a house that would "Wow!" me... every single day!

A home made of wood and stone.

One that blended into the environment and actually made the landscape more attractive... rather than ruining the countryside for my neighbors... a home that would be admired and appreciated for centuries to come.

I thought that meant I wanted a log cabin.

But I was wrong.

It would take me ten years to discover that what I really wanted was a Handmade House.

Now before I lose you let me make one thing clear...

I love log cabins.

And log cabins can be a handmade houses.

But log cabins can also be piles of toxic utility poles spiked together. (or at least that is what many salesmen promote as being a log cabin)

The truth is that there are steps we can take to achieve a wonderful log home... and there are also plenty of disappointing paths we can be lured down where we will end up with a disappointing one.

Another "truth" is that there are other forms of handmade house construction that we can choose from other than buiding just with logs... such as stone, timber-frame, and "stick-built" (when it is done properly).

One last "truth" for you today is that each of the various types of Handmade House construction has its own "pros" and "cons"... in other words.. each type of construction can make your home better but choosing just one will most likely dissapoint.

HERE'S A TIP YOU WON"T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE... By properly combining two or more of these forms of construction you can have a remarkable home... one with no "cons", and plenty of "pros".

You likely won't hear this single piece of advice from anyone other than a Handmade House enthusiast.

Do you wonder why?

Why is that you will you get a negative response when you ask a cookie-cutter home builder about log cabins?

Why is that when you ask a dealer of "log kits" about having part of your future home made of something other than log that he will look confused?

Why is is that you when you ask a timber-framer about log cabins he will look down on you as if you were referring to a double-wide mobile home?

Many in the field of alternative housing end up in narrow nitches, only seeing the benefits of their single obsession, while denying any "cons" associated with their chosen craft, and closing their minds to the bigger picture... that of a handmade house.

By considering the idea of combining a two or more forms of construction together on your future home you will get a much better home, and likely save money on it's construction. I've always referred to this single aspect of a handmade house design as a... "blended house".

A blended house is just one of the Twelve Keys presented in the FREE video on this page.

The Twelve Keys is a single quick conversation to help you get started on your path to your Handmade House.

I have so much more to offer you... which is why I put together the Handmade House Academy course. It is over eight hours of additional content created to help ensure that the home you build for yourself is the best it can be.

I want to help you achieve your dream home.

I am a "well-seasoned" handmade house builder.

I've been blessed.... it's been a wonderful journey... one that is far from being over!

I have accumulated many trade-secrets and insights about Handmade Houses and I'd like to share them all with you.

To be honest, there aren't that many handmade house builders out there... and the number of them appears to be shrinking every year.

I'm nearing retirement now... and it's time for me to pass onto you what I have learned and experienced.

I want to start you out where I am now... at my skill level.

There is no need for you to spend decades like I have done in order to learn these secrets. Perhaps you won't be as fortunate as I have been... in working alongside so many extremely talented craftsmen, and having been commissioned by so many enabling supporters who have wanted my assistance in creation of their own handmade homes. (I end this letter with notes sent to me by just two of those treasured clients)

If you have been looking you likely have discovered that there simply is no other platform where you can gain the knowledge and insights offered within The Handmade House Guild.

All of the Academies within the Guild have been a struggle for me to put together. I'm not a paid actor, nor some phony salesman, trying to sell you something I know little about. Any financial returns from this endevour have been minimal considering the time I've invested and the value that you will receive. Your support gaurantees that continued growth.

The Handmade Houe movement has been a life-long labor of love.

I have sadly witnessed many fine craftsmen go to the grave carrying with them all they knew of their skills. And many, many, more who are currently practicing their trades will never go to the trouble of passing on their insights through words, or by creating instructional videos.

The Guild is my attempt to preserve and pass on to you... what I know... and what others have shared with me.

I know that what is contained within the Handmade House Guild program will bless you many times over!

Noah

"Noah Bradley helped my wife and me plan and build a log cabin on a mountainside here in central Virginia. We are unequivocally delighted with our finished cabin and thoroughly enjoyed the process of design and construction that Noah provided. Noah possesses an uncommon mix of skill, intellgence, patience, trustworthiness, and dedication. Our cabin is a jewel that our friends who are architects and builders marvel over. We are lucky to have stumbled upon Noah."

"Noah's talented vision, along with his appreciation for history and his vast experience in construction and restoration enabled us to save our log home. Noah is artfully creative, exacting, and conscientious. His workmanship is stunning. The other evening we were sitting in the cabin admiring the rich graining in the logs. We figured that the old settlers who built the house, thanks to Noah Bradley, would be happy that something of their lives and spirits will live on. We are immensely pleased."
