my house is frame with sawed 3″X9″ bords and notched at the end and locked together, as a log cabin. It is secured at the top of the house with 2″ wooden pegs. About when was this house built? I live in south Alabama.
Thomas I’m not familiar with Alabaman architecture and without walking through the home I couldn’t even make a good guess (someone could build a home just like you describe today.
It does sound like you have a great house!
