Hi Mary, thank you for the kind words.
(I have some Irish blood coursing through my veins)
Here in the States, the more a local government restricts handmade houses, the more creative we get with gaining approval… we call it a shed, or a shop, or a garage, and then later request permission to upgrade it to a home.
thats interesting about approval ideas?? in australia here they are also stupidly “strict” about building ideals? its fine to approve a home that will fall down in 30yrs but not ok to build a home with a time proven old method as its seen as outdated and old and therefore unsafe, its all a big scam to prop up the moder building industries, anyhow i like your idea tho of building a shed, or garage? ill have to research about your idea of later upgrading it to be a legal dwelling or home? what sort of things did you need to do in the staes to legall yupgrade a “shed” to be a home?

Tristan, that varied from structure to structure… and county to county… some were easy… others not so. But I have found that there is always a way.
