How about chimneys… which do you prefer? Stone? or Brick? Perhaps… stone with a brick top? or maybe your preference is a modern chimney built of wood and vinyl?

Wow. I guess I am partial to stone. But I like brick too, especially old brick. I saw a really interesting rustic mining camp design by Trilogy partners, where they used what looked like corten steel cladding and stone on the fire place. I also like the steel look, but it is not for everyone. The design of the mountain home is very different, but appealing to me (I like steam punk too).

There is also a design I like from Moss Creek called Middleburg camp, which combines hewn log, brick noggin and stone additions.
There is a LOT going on in the design of that house!
