Here’s “before and after” images of a stone arch that we made years ago.
It’s a simple process, you just create a form out of scrap lumber, and then you carefully, and patiently, shape each stone.
And then, once done, you have created something useful and attractive (that will last for centuries).

Wow, the last time I saw building of that quality was in germany as I went through the castles.
My only question–and this is an ignorant one–without a window, this would be an outside wall. I am trying to understand what type of outside wall has a big window in it?
Hi Elliott,
Thank you for the compliment… Having our work compared to German castles is not something that happens everyday!
Of course there are no “ignorant questions”… only ones of curiosity… something best fed and encouraged.
We built a stone entry for a unique structure that would set above it and in this “stone undecagon” we built two window openings and a door. Upon completion the owner of the structure chose not to install the door nor the glass panes, preferring it like it is.
