Rustic metal siding
Noah Bradley2019-06-29T10:23:09+00:00This product… “Truten”… (of which I learned about through one of our members here at HandmadeHouses… thank you Chuck) is a metal application that has been rusted and sealed… has some real potential to create an attractive home exterior. I’ve yet to find an attractive home design coupled with this material, but I think the result of such a combination would be eye catching, durable, and low maintenance.

The Adam Thoroughgood Home
Noah Bradley2019-06-29T10:23:04+00:00Here is the Adam Thoroughgood house… perhaps one of the most recognized of historic American homes.
I’ve never been to see the Thoroughgood home, but I did once have a client who had an exact replica of this house built for himself. That house, was… amazing… much more visually impacting than this photo could ever hope to reveal.
The combination of good design, handmade brick, and a slate roof, makes for a fine home.

Metal siding on a house
Noah Bradley2019-06-29T10:22:59+00:00Here’s an intriguing cottage.
It appears to be a new home, built using salvaged materials.
I have never used metal roofing materials for siding, but you know, I kinda like the look. And, it would make for a low cost, zero maintenance option to wood siding
I understand that metal panel siding is popular in the state of Texas, but unheard of here in Virginia other than for new outbuildings.
What do you think of this rustic cabin?
